When it comes to getting an airline ticket cheap, you need to understand that there are alot of factors that play into the price of a ticket. Time of year, departure/destination port, advanced purchasing, and time of day all play important factors in determining the price of your airline ticket. As a rule of thumb, when purchasing a ticket, always search and shop around for the best price. Don’t go to one specific website or airline to always find your ticket. Usually certain websites or airlines, or even airports, offer specific deals depending on the destination and/or time of leave.

Always be flexible on your departure dates to find the cheapest available airline tickets. Plus or minus one day can make a significant difference in your purchase price. Also, being flexible on the amount of stops can save you some money. Tickets that have multiple stops are less attractive for buyers and are usually cheaper.
